Strengthening the ecosystem

We empower strategic actors, expand access to information, and strengthen the climate agenda through training and accessible content for the general public.

IMG_2410 (1).jpeg

LACLIMA contributes to strengthening the climate ecosystem through the production and dissemination of knowledge, the training of strategic actors, and the expansion of access to information on the international climate agenda.

We develop technical materials, guides, courses, publications, and training programs aimed at different audiences, including civil society organizations, students, researchers, professionals, and decision-makers.

The projects in this area transform technical, scientific, and legal debates into accessible content and applicable tools, supporting capacity building for the implementation of the climate agenda.

The Paris Agreement Observatory, created by LACLIMA, is a tool that follows and monitors the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, also known by the acronym UNFCCC.

In an educational manner, the Paris Agreement Observatory provides monthly information on the Paris Agreement and the actions of governments in tackling climate change, monitoring the topics of the negotiations, relevant information on the climate meetings that take place in June (SB), the COPs, and other matters relevant to the theme.

Sign up to receive the LACLIMA Paris Agreement Observatory's monthly Alert and check out the latest alerts and key translated documents from the negotiations.

Learn more about our projects.

Intelligence in climate policy

We analyze, design, and formulate public policies, connecting what is decided in global arenas to what needs to be implemented in domestic spheres, at all levels.

Enhancing climate legal practice

We produce analyses and recommendations to strengthen legal action on the climate agenda and support the implementation of international commitments, promoting effective legal strategies in both domestic and international contexts.

Paradiplomacy and institutional arrangements

We participate in international forums, coalitions, and processes related to global climate governance, mediating and promoting debates in domestic negotiations and planning, as well as in multilateralism. We support different governance bodies and institutional arrangements.
