The LACLIMA Network is independent.
With its own unique dynamics, the LACLIMA Network is promoted by the LACLIMA Institute.
It is the first community of lawyers, law graduates, and law students interested in the topic of climate change in Latin America, dedicated to the study, development, sharing, and production of knowledge.
It is a space in which any Latin American with legal training – whether currently enrolled or completed – is welcome to participate. The LACLIMA Network operates at the forefront of knowledge with the purpose of fostering debates and studies on various topics through a legal lens, and those who participate have the opportunity to expand their connections, develop technically, and be part of a qualified group that disseminates knowledge about climate change law.
We have over 1000 members in various locations across Brazil.
And we want to expand our network even further across various territories!
Working Groups (WGs)
Currently, the LACLIMA Network is organized into 12 Working Groups (WGs). Participation in the WGs is voluntary, meaning that members of the LACLIMA Network can participate in as many groups as they wish and contribute to each one according to their interest and availability.
Participation in the Working Groups is an excellent way to build, consolidate, and deepen knowledge on key climate law topics, as well as expand connections with other professionals and students in the field, providing a very rich opportunity for exchange and development for all members.

The Paris Agreement Observatory, created by LACLIMA, is a tool that follows and monitors the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, also known by the acronym UNFCCC.
In an educational manner, the Paris Agreement Observatory provides monthly information on the Paris Agreement and the actions of governments in tackling climate change, monitoring the topics of the negotiations, relevant information on the climate meetings that take place in June (SB), the COPs, and other matters relevant to the theme.
Sign up to receive the LACLIMA Paris Agreement Observatory's monthly Alert and check out the latest alerts and key translated documents from the negotiations.
