The report “A Look at Transparency under the Paris Agreement – Assessment of the G20 Biennial Transparency Reports” is now available. It analyzes the first Biennial Transparency Reports (BTRs) submitted by G20 countries under the Paris Agreement.

The G20 group brings together the world’s major economies and accounts for approximately 80% of global greenhouse gas emissions, making this focus essential for understanding the progress and challenges associated with the implementation of climate action measures at the global scale. The study presents a comparative analysis of mitigation targets, emissions trends, and climate support provided by developed countries—highlighting advances, gaps, and challenges related to the coherence and ambition of global climate policies.

The publication aims to contribute to strengthening transparency, international accountability, and the effectiveness of the global climate regime.
