Here you will find the results of the research "Brazil's Leading Role in COP 30", conducted by the IDEA Institute , with support from LACLIMA and other partner organizations.

The research, launched in June 2025 at the Brazil Forum UK, reveals that 71% of Brazilians still don't know what COP 30 is – the largest international conference on climate change, which will take place this year in Belém/PA. However, 78% of those surveyed know that Brazil will host this event.

These numbers are not surprising and reflect how COP is still a distant topic for the vast majority of the population, as it is a complex environment with its own rules. However, the decisions made in this space have a great influence on all of our lives. For this reason, LACLIMA aims to translate this ecosystem for the population.

However, the survey data also shows a population that values environmental issues:
• 66% see the environment as a priority for the future.
• 68% want more investment in clean energy.
• 77% prefer to buy from brands committed to sustainability.
