Here you will find the results of the survey “Brazil's Protagonism at COP 30”, carried out by the IDEA Institute , with support from LACLIMA and other partner organizations.

The survey, launched in June 2025 at the Brazil Forum UK, reveals that 71% of Brazilians still don't know what COP 30 is—the largest international conference on climate change, which will take place this year in Belém, Pará. However, 78% of respondents know that Brazil will host the event.

These numbers are not surprising and reflect how COP remains a distant topic for the vast majority of the population, as it is a complex environment, in English, with its own rules. However, the decisions made in this space have a significant impact on all of our lives. For this reason, LACLIMA aims to translate this ecosystem for the general public.

However, the survey data also shows a population that values the environmental agenda:
• 66% see the environment as a priority for the future.
• 68% want more investment in clean energy.
• 77% prefer to buy from brands committed to sustainability
